What 'new' leagues would you like to see in EHM:EA?

Post by marksbros6 »

Obviously we'd all like to see EHM:EA eventually have all the active leagues that were catered to in the last iteration of the the game ('07 version). Personally I can't wait till the UK Elite and Premier Leagues are playable.

But FM has a multitude of leagues, some not very mainstream or even obscure, so what leagues would you like to see in the game, providing we eventually get a game with all of the old leagues re-coded? Money-no-object (obviously Riz and the team won't be able to do everything, there's lots of tweaking to be done as it is).

Personally I'd like to see:

NIHL1 (from the UK, including this league would open the game up more for the UK fanbase and re-introduce a lot of older, more historied teams that can't compete in the Premier League any more; Isle of Wight, London/Romford Raiders, so more UK players could play as their 'local' team)

NIHL2 (from the UK, league below, a long-shot I'm told due to the limitations in the attribute-scaling, EPIHL Brits are already in single digits, but would be nice to have more 'regional' UK teams, and promotion/relegation fully modelled, following Oxford City Stars in their relegation dog-fight this season was epic).

The French League(s) - just because it would flesh out Europe and some of those teams have funky names? Dragons de Rouen?

The Australian League - yes, apparently there is one :) This would help with 'journeyman' saves which is one of the more popular ways of playing FM, or 'start from the bottom' saves which I know EHM'ers indulge in?

The Emirates League - UAE, for two reasons; it's where Tom Carlon, formerly of MK Lightning is plying his trade, and they have a team called the 'Dubai Mighty Camels' (Make it so Riz!) :)

Any other regions of the world, where hockey might not be that popular? That might have value to add, even novelty value?

The Netherlands

Frankly, I don't really care for other leagues, as long as the NHL/AHL are in perfect condition first.

With all the due respect, French a part, there are 10s of leagues that should be put in before the ones you asked for. But of course, the more, the better!

I would like to see US Colleges playable. That would probably be hard to replicate though.

This would be awesome, but if we can't get them playable I'd at least like more structure to them. Even if you can't control one of the teams it would still be cool to know who won each conference and than the NCAA Tourney each season.

UK Elite League and English Premier League... Ok ok the NIHL as well then :joy:

France, Germany, Austria, Czech, Slovak, MOL-Liga

Russian VHL and Belarus Open League (closed league whatever it is this season!)

SWITZERLAND! The main league always missing!

ASIA HOCKEY LEAGUE - PRETTY PLEASE! :notworthy:

LNAH in Canada and some more in the US. College leagues would be interesting and are always requested!

All the leagues from EHM07 and more. Like France, Italy and Switzerland. In finished game atleast, not in Early access. The more the better, as said.

NLA and NLB from Switzerland ! Definitly the main missing league in EHM 2007, it would be amazing to have it at some point.

Russian VHL, German DEL, French League Magnus, Italian Serie A, EBEL, College Hockey, ...

Those would be the leagues I'd like to see included ! And of course leagues from hockey powerhouse like Czech Republic, etc...

I would love to see the NCAA and USHL playable. That'd give a nice twist to the game. Also DEL, NLA/NLB, Czech Elite, Austria, Russian VHL, Magnus and Serie A.

From a selfish point of view I'd like to play in the NIHL-1.
Partly because I follow Invicta and partly because it'd bring a new level for lower league management.

I dont think there will be much of problem to add or open up the leagues from EHM07... At this point im not very keen to have leagues like Australian or Dutch or too much of UK leagues..still think all those extra leagues should be then for EHM 2016. Right now just want the old leagues back and maybe add of Swiss, French and maybe Italian leagues.

Its not a league - but to me its as important -
I played Football Manager 2000-2015 - for over 15 yrs - & what i liked the most about the game was the World Cup & all the other international competitions was totally playable so u could manager any country so i hope that EHM EA goes the same way - that is i hoped the IIHF World Championship DivisionS II & III will be included & be playable as ice hockey got fans in all countries yes even in South Africa and all the other "minor" ice hockey playing countiries. I wish that u can managered any minor country playing in lower levels of IIHF World Championships which will be fun trying to get your country to the next division or if the main World Championships as it will be authentic to to the real competition & u might even find good players in these nations.
Keep the good work up guys

That's a good point. It would be nice to coach smaller international teams. Although that would of course be subject to those nations being well researched.

  That i think was already possible if the nation had 250 players or at EHM even less. But I agree if all ranks of world championships would be open would be great!

I want as many as possible, and eventually I'd want the league editor that FM has, but first thing I want is the Swiss NLA... Cause it always bothered me in EHM 2007 that the 3rd or 4th (depending on how on rated RSL back then) best European league at the time wasn't playable... So yeah, definitely wanna see that...

"Permission to speak freely sir..." :)

Undoubtably there are loads of leagues that deserve to be added, at least all the EHM:'07 leagues for starters.

I like the quirky, lower levels though, and these flesh out the game-world. I can see that they won't be a priority :)

I could help with Polish Hockey League if anybody is interested. I'm not sure if I will find time soon but I could try (just don't know how and what to do #-o )

Would like to see all league that have champions league clubs and clubs that enter from 2nd round onwards of continental cup. Obviously depends on getting enough researchers and maybe take a couple years to get to this stage but would like to see the following

Top 3 leagues - Germany, Sweden, Finland, Russia

Top 2 - Denmark, France, Norway, Austria, Czech, Slovak, Switzerland, UK

1 from - Italy, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, Latvia, Slovenia

National teams - hope there can be enough depth in game so that players can play any of existing national teams down to level 1B.

Asian league - With winter Olympics coming to Korea could see more interest in this league. Not massive priority but probably the only league I would consider 'pro' outside of Europe (I include Kazakstand as Europe as their clubs play in continental cup) and North America

North America - NHL, AHL, ECHL, Major Juniors, SPHL, Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey, Junior A (well BCHL at least), USHL, NCAA
