Network/Online Mode: Crashes and connection problems
I have tried the ports and still no luck. Will not let my friend connect with me. I have tried the external and internal IP addresses with absolutely no luck. Has anyone got this working yet?
ADMIN NOTE: As a first port of call, we recommend reading through this guide (which applies to both EHM 2007 and EHM 1): https://ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/index.php?title=Setting_up_online_gameplay_in_EHM_2007

Re: Network game causes crash on joining game
I found the solution between me and a couple random on r/ehm . Host needs to be in the chat while others connect. Also have your ports open
Hope this helps anybody having connectivity issues
Edit: I love how the ehm community is "figure it out yourself" almost a week after release and not a peep about the bugs in online

Re: Network game causes crash on joining game
No worries. I think SI are figuring the thing out too, and posting the solution is a good idea, I'm sure it'll be helpful to other users, as you said. We try to help, but there's no point posting stuff like "I don't know" to a question.

open ports 10095 and 10065 then give him your actuall ip, google "whats my ip" to get it. then when he connects go into chat then let him connect.

Network games
For the past few days I've been trying to get a network games going with some friends. We've tried, but whenever it gets to the point of putting in the ip's it tells us that game is unable to join. I opened the ports 10095/10065 as told, and looked up my ip and still nothing. Anyone know anymore on how to get it working?

Re: Network mode: Crashes and connection problems
use your personal ip not the one provided on top of the screen. That ip is a local ip, you'd only use that ip if you were hosting a LAN. Google "whats my ip" then give them that. once you are in the lobby give them your ip then go into chat and let them connect

Still doesn't work. Anything else, like little things you need to have like the ports?

Network Game - EHM 15
Hi guys,
My friends and I want to play an online game . However, when I create the game, no one can connect. I've read the forums, but there is nothing about this new version of EHM.
Can someone helps me ?

Re: online problem
The host needs to open ports 10065 and 10095. To do that you need to go into your router (type your ip address into your browser) and find a way to open the ports.

Re: Network/Online Mode: Crashes and connection problems
My friend is able to join my server, but is constantly getting kicked out when trying to do anything more than reading his news. We both have solid internet connection so I don't think that's the problem. Anyone know what it might be? PS. Both of us are playing via PlayOnMac.

Re: online problem
Is there a manual for network play? Searching but not finding anything... Open ports 10065 and 10095 you say... hmm not so easy on windows 10... shall i open them for inbound or outbound or both? Is there any risks involved with opening those two ports?Tasku wrote:The host needs to open ports 10065 and 10095. Error for EHM Network
We have an online network game going and when certain people go to assign their scouts the whole game gives a DATA FULL error then has to be closed to and restarted.
Any Advice to prevent this?
