Playing with old rosters

Post by phatns2pid »

Hi all, I'd really enjoy playing with some older rosters/start dates (e.g. 06-07, or somewhere around there), but I've noticed that pretty much any older roster I import gets a bunch of errors when I try to convert it. Normally the errors are resultant from teams that have moved/become defunct/etc. over the years. Is there a way around this? Would I have to use the DB editor to resolve the errors by moving teams around (or would that even work)?

is your Import_config.cfg file correct? http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... nto_EHM:EA
Does it say "DEFAULT_RULE_SET" 2006 as it should?

Which 2006-07 database are you trying to import? CJ's updated UUDB? http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... hp?t=11330 or another one?

EDIT - if you are trying the CJ's 2006-07 database, I'd recommend version 6.0 and not 6.1 (6.0 is without the "Realism Patch" needed for EHM07 to make scoring more realistic, but not needed for the new EHM)

It worked! Thanks a ton. Imported the TBL 1.5 rosters (07-08, I know) just in case you're curious.

Remember about adjusting salary cap to chosen year. One - I suppose - useful thing: older databases have set salary cap like in real life, but when you're using 2006 rules teams managed by computer tends to "see" salary limits like in 2006 - to around 44 mln dollars. I'm using EHM Assistant to slowly reduce salary cap (and to lower with every year to 2006 level to avoid situation where almost every team in the league is below salary floor. I hope it's helpful information :) .
