Have you find a funny/great team song for some NHL team or a team from another league?

Well, HIFK dont really have any official song, not that i'm aware of, but we fans tend to sing chants with the melody of some songs, eg. Eye of the Tiger is one of them

. Don't have any sound clip of it though.

You mean the Survivor song for the Rocky movies right?

As mentioned in a previosu thread the Hawks have a song that was originally an instrumental with an orchestra that had words put to it in 1968 (and boy does it sound like it) that is played to this day. It is also played often in the instrumental version by our awesome organist at the United Center Frank Pellico. It's called 'Here Come The Hawks' and my new avatar is from a vinyl pressing of the 1968 version, two years before I was born and I'm among the geezers of the the TBL crew!

And it's true... I found myself whistling it while doing dishes after dinner last night

Don't forget Brass Bonanza, the catchy tune from the days of the Hartford Whalers!!

If you look at the media section of the caneshockey website it has alot of the songs played at the 'Canes games.

Minstrel, yeah, thats the one. We have also few others, and then just some own melodies for them. I will try to come up with sound clips from the games if i can find them somewhere.

During an away game against SkellefteÃ¥. The thing is that SkellefteÃ¥ once upon a time played in the SEL and then got dropped 1990. Finally after 16 years of absence they are finally back in the top division and the LuleÃ¥ Fans chants, freely translated

"It took 16 years, youÂ´re going down, and then weÂ´ll never see you again"

It's from away game vs TPS last season. Every season IFK fans arrange one mega fan trip to one TPS game, and this was the result last year. And you can see pretty much all the chants IFK fans have in store.

When Boston Bruins games started being aired on WSBK TV 38 in Boston, they used The Ventures version of the Nutcracker Suite called "Nutty", which has kind of been an unofficial theme song for them. The Dropkick Murphys did an ode to the Bruins called "Time to Go", as well as a cover of "Nutty". But sadly, the Bruins don't have any groovy 60s theme song.

Finally som supporter culture in Finland. But the chants are quite dull arenÂ´t they? IFK, IFK, IFK.....

Yea well, they are. Few has some more than just IFK, and actually in home games one chant is quite brilliant. Because we have 2 "fan stands", one is the official, one is the unofficial. One is behind the net, and one is upstairs, in the corner. Anyway, the chant i'm talking about is in the clip only partially at 2:47.

It starts by upstairs yelling "Alakerta huutakaa meille (downstairs, yell at us)", then downstairs responds with "YlÃ¤kerta huutakaa meille (upstairs, yell at us)". This is repeated once, after which upstairs yells "Stadin kingit! (helsinkis kings, stadi is a slang word for helsinki)" and downstair goes "IFK!". This goes on for a little while.

But yeah, about the supporter culture in Finland. In semi-final game Ã„ssÃ¤t - KÃ¤rpÃ¤t, the stands were actually shaking, and they recorder some insane dB figures, atleast over 100 if im not mistaken.

ItÂ´s like the swedish "ni pÃ¥ andra sidan Ã¤r ni klara?" (other side, are you ready) It can also be yelled to parts of the stands or the people seated etc.
