Draft error

Post by bootlegsaint »

Hello everyone, I was a huge player of the freeware back during the golden days of EHM. I just downloaded it again off this site and have been enjoying getting kicked out of the playoffs in the first round every year with Sharks. Anyway, I've run into issue with the draft that I can't figure out how to resolve. Here it is: 7. (via Minnesota Wild). There's no team there in the draft order for this draft so I get a Run Time Error '9' Subscript out of range and it quits after the 6th pick in the first round. How do I figure out what to do in the draftpicks.ehm file to fix this? I don't really care what team goes there as long as one does and I can continue playing. Thank you!

what version are you using? I think this happened to me a few years back. I just changed the version on draft day and I think i was ok.

I've had this issue as well. If you check the Draft Order in the Draft Central drop down, you'll see whatever team is picking sixth, likely in parentheses. Open the draftpicks.ehm file and search for 100. Change that to whatever team number holds that pick, save the file, reload the game, and you should be good to go.

Make a copy of the file though, just in case!
