It's in another folder because it's from the workshop, try steam > steamapps > workshop > content > xxxxxx > xxxxxx (x are numbers, not sure if it's different for everyone so i put some x) > database is here

I see the workshop folder but I have 3 folders, content, downloads and temp. Downloads and temp have nothing in them. Content has folders but all that's in there are folders with a bunch of numbers I don't understand. Is there any folder where things downloaded from the workshop would be?

It is one of those folders in content with the numbers. Either go into each of them until you find the one with a file called database, or check the last updated date for when you got 9.4 as it's probably that one.

I would recommend using the latest version of the editor. I'd also recommend copying the folder to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Eastside Hockey Manager\data\database".

You should be able to find the rosters here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\301120
I've downloaded the TBL v9.6 mod via the workshop, yet no folders were found that related to this mod. EHM1 recognizes it, and I'm able to select the database. However, upon starting a search function, the only file I've found that pertains to 9.6, is a file that the editor does not recognize as a database. As such, it cannot be used or edited.

-Been playing around with it, and I do see a database file dated Oct 4 2017, which is the last time I unsubbed/re-subbed. But it's not showing up in any workshop folder. I can open the file, but overwriting it with any changes does not take hold, and creating a new game does not recognize any new databases.

How to Load TBL Rosters 10.1 in Editor

Post by y2jericho »

I haven't played this game in sometime, and the last rosters I used was 8.1. With 8.1 there was a a .db file to download from here to have the rosters installed in the steam folder to load up in the editor. However with 10.1 it is a steam download to which I am already subscribed and in game it says it is installed. However, when I go to the Database folder for the game, there is no 10.1 db file, just the older db files I already had. So there is nothing to load in the editor, what have I done wrong?

You have to look in the Workshop downloads/subscriptions folder within the Steam folder. It won't be called "TBL 10.1", it'll just be a folder with a bunch of gibberish numbers and the DB and associated files in it.

Not at my home computer right now or I'd snip the screen to show.

Ok, I was wondering if that might be it, thanks for the info.

There is no need to post the same query over multiple threads. I merged your posts into this thread as this thread contains details of how to locate the Steam rosters.

Sorry for the double post, wasn't sure which thread to use, since I know how to locate and download the rosters from Steam and through downloads from here. Just was trying to see how to edit a database that one doesn't download but subscribes to using the Steam Workshop.

The database file can be edited just like usual. I recommend saving it in your EHM database folder (in a new sub-folder) to avoid Steam overwriting your edited database.

How is this possible? You must have Steam to own the game.
