A couple questions from a complete rookie.

I just dowloaded the demo and went through the first 20% of the manual to get a feel for the interface. Two things I'm wondering about:

1.) On certain screens, the icons for Front Office, Roster, Tactics etc. are no longer active. There also doesn't seem to be a general button that takes you back to your Front Office screen. For instance, when I was assigning scouts, in order to get back to the Front Office screen, I had to use the General Manager pulldown, select Player/Staff Search and then exit that by clicking OK. Then I could click on the Front Office icon again. Seems like too many steps just to get back there. Am I missing something here or is it common that "you can't get there from here" and you have to backtrack?

2.) Those text tips that appear when the game is loading look like they would be helpful if I could ever read any of them before they disappear. Is there any other way to view them?

*game directory* --> data ---> hints ---> *yourlanguage*.cfg (can be opened in notepad)

If the icons along the top go 'dead' it's because one of the screens you're in needs to be closed before you can access everything again. For example, if you're in the scouting menu you have to select 'ok' or 'cancel' from the bottom left so that the game knows you're either sticking with any changes or not. It's the same deal with the practice screen and a couple others. It can be annoying but it prevents you from accidentally undoing any changes you've made. The front office icon is on the far left of the icons along the top.
