Popomundo Keys

Post by Minstrel »

Okay, I've ditched everyone's keys (go to any public area and drop them and they'll disappear forever, but don't try this with a set of drums for example!) and I ask you all to do the same and change your locks preferably, so we can redistribute keys that we don't have to 'wear' in order to keep petty theives from taking a key that is easily matched up to one of our apartments. So, I suggest you them make people keys with the following 'code':

first initial of your TBL Username, last initial of your Popo Character, then the initials of your band, backwards, then your characters first name. DON'T post your code in this thread

But let's say that the person's username was Hobbit, their popo character was John Smith and they were in the band The Three Shiresmen they's use hsSTTj as their key's "code". Feel free to throw in some numbers too as we'll all know to skip over numbers

I think we should all do that as soon as possible. Yes, it costs $500 to re-key your door but I'd say it's worth it to be able to keep things in your apartment again.

I see no use of having such a code... We should also roll some d20 dices a name our key according to the successive results...

We don't need to know who's key we have to be able to enter their appartment, but we just need to have their key.

The key should also leave unnamed with the same effect.

A better approach (at least, i think so...) is to give our key without our character name, for sure, and send messages to the ones we give our keys, so they know they have our key... No? :dunno:

By the way, i don't have 500$ yet! :D

And then one person has to change their locks and you can't tell whose key of this pack of unnamed keys is the one you should get rid of... so thanks for saying this isn't need just because you don't care about it, but it is actually very much needed and this is a system that combines security with ability to keep track of whose key is whose.

Maybe you'll think differently if you have your bagpipes in you apartment and they turn up missing.

My mistake, i just didn't thought that someone should have to change their locks once again, which implies a tracking possibility, and so a code ;)

You were right on this point  my mistake

Right I now have dumped the two keys I have. I will get round to changing my locks today and will get some keys made for everyone.

I've done this now, and I will start to distribute to everybody as soon as possible.
