I've been having this problem since the 2nd patch for for 2007. Basically I start the game up and play for 10-15 minutes and then its like the game gets bogged down. The only other program I have running would be AIM and I typically have firefox open.
I don't think the problem is my computer as its just over a year old and I do regular maintenance on it.
Anyone got some ideas of what I can do?
Thanks

I doubt it's AIM and Firefox. I usually run the game on my work computer, which is about 2 or 3 (maybe more, I can't remember) years old. I usually have Outlook, Firefox (one browser with 2 or 3 tabs, plus a separate window for streaming radio), Excel, and an accounting/order entry program running. Lately, I'll have Adobe Photoshop running too. If anything, EHM slows the other programs down when it's simulating other games or advancing days.
You might want to check your virtual memory settings. I'm assuming you've got plenty of free hard drive space and a decent amount of RAM since you say the computer is only a year old. You're not running any heavy processing apps in the background, are you? I know when I first start a new game it goes really quick for a bit but once I get a little further along it slows down but that's due to more games and such being processed.
