Why is it that when I play with any NHL club, I always lose money throughout the whole year. The only way that I come close to making it all up is if I go to the playoffs and play quite a few home games, then I see it go up to atleast a good amount, but not that much.
So what is the secret? Is it not having so much staff, low salary for all your players, or what? I'm just curious to know. Cause I see that it's easy to make money in the minors and still have the salary cap as full as you can get it.
If anyone can help or answer this, I'd appreciate it.

Basically, i loose money every month, except a huge income in september with season-ticket sales, and so i end the year with a global benefit.
And i think it's way it works in the NHL, as i've always see that with my NHL teams since EHM05
And i run full staff and often close of the salary cap and the budget limit fixed by the boss.

If you're using the "unfaked" database the key is to not use the unfaked database.
They've made some pretty crippling errors in the stadiums section chopping several teams stadium sizes. So that would be a factor.
If not, the thing is that the NHL finances are heavily front-weighted when the money from TV and Season Tickets come in, so while you may lose money as months go on you stay ahead in the overall.

I notice that you do make the profit from ticket sales and sometimes you'll have the board throw in some money to help with the team, but that has only been with minor league teams that I've used.
Anyway, it's not hard to just keep within that budget that you start off with. Just seems like maybe you could possibly just make more money as each year goes by, but you don't.
Oh yeah, I don't use the unfake database, I use what the game/patch gave me.

Which stadiums are wrong? I will make sure they are fixed in the next version thenMinstrel wrote:If you're using the "unfaked" database the key is to not use the unfaked database. They've made some pretty crippling errors in the stadiums section chopping several teams stadium sizes.
