Online game (wireless network) connection problems

First off I know that there are posts about EHM online, and yes I have read them. But my problem isn't covered in those posts, and I've tried asking a few different people, before I ask here, but they tried and failed, as they didn't know what EHM is. Anyway, I'm on a laptop, which I use wireless internet, and it gets the signal from the main computer.

I opened the ports needed, and I have turned the firewall off, but it still says "EHM online game can't be created" or something similar.
So I went on the main computer to see if it worked on there, and without a word of a lie, I did nothing, started up EHM clicked on Start new network game, and it worked, that really confused me. So I am now, really stuck, I would play it on the main computer but its never available because other people are on it, and I want it to work on my laptop as that is where all my things are and my up to date EHM.

Any suggestions or advice would be greaty appreciated.

I actually have the same problem, but it's not when I create my network game, it's when I try to connect on the game of one of my friends. We both have a laptop with a wireless connection too, so I should like to have an answer if someone can help me. Thank you for your help ;)
