It's definately worth buying!

The more you play it, the further you make in your career, the harder it is to let go. You've only played the demo, which allows not even a full season, where as the full game allows you to build your own team all the way in a never ending cycle, making it more and more your own team. There might become a time when you feel like you're done with the game, and you let it go for awhile, but you'll most likely come back to it within a few months.

Plus, there is so much to learn from this game. We have people here who've played EHM since the freeware version or atleast EHM 2004 (myself included) and who are still learning new stuff everyday on training, tactics, players etc, etc...

As for essential files, I'd say first patch it up, then download the TBL Database from here: Link

Patch here: Link or from SIgames.com

There's tons of other addons in the downloads section, that'll make the game look even cooler. Feel free to browse around.

Oh, and welcome to The Blue Line!

Edit: Edited the threadt title to be more descriptive

I'd say right now it's worth it more than ever, because of the discontinuation of it's development. No new game means you can start a career-game now and just play it into the sunset with nothing new to force you to restart(except for any add-on databases you may want to use).

As for add-ons, I agree with Tasku. The 3.0.4 patch is a no-brainer, and the TBL database is a definite choice for correcting the lack of licenses.

Lastly, welcome to the site. ;)

also some of the downloads on this site can really enhance the game experience. from new Logos, skins, and databases. The game is worth every penny of its price tag. The game also offers a greater understanding of the game for some people.

The graphics and projects on this site definetly make the game 3 dimnesional, they add a whole new flavour to the game, with new Database's, player pictures, and skins, and plenty more projects to come, the game can never get old, IMHO, i would buy it straight away, just like i did

Hmm... that is a bummer... :-k

All you can do for now is wait for SI to get back to you. Although they've stopped further development of this particular game, they're still hard at work every day, including the boys who were previously in the EHM team, and I'm sure they'll get back to you ASAP.

You could also try contacting the folks at e-license. They should have you on record as having purchased the game. I would think they could make sure you've got a valid key. Are you copying the right info into the game? Did you purchase the right version of the game (version and platform)?

Your best bet is to start by contacting eLicense (or whoever handles the Mac version if it's different). Other than that, you should contact Graeme over at SI. Those are really the only places you're going to get any help with a serial number issue.

Did you use the Mac-patch or the PC-patch?

I linked you with the PC-patch because I automatically assumed you'd be PC user...

Not sure if this has any, or what kind of effect, but if you did, try re-install and then patch it with the Mac version... :dunno:

I have a Mac (and the Mac version), but I didn't have any problems like this. The only advice I have is make sure that you typed in the number correctly, and if you did, contact eLicense and SI.

The easiest way to put the right serial number in is to simply copy-paste the one you're given  This way you're sure to have it right :D
