I don't let them run my team, so for me it's mostly just Judging Ability and Judging Potential. If you're going to use them a bit more, you might want to consider Discipline and Motivating. I've also included Man Management and Working With Youngsters but I don't know if those really matter.

Thanks, I just use them for trade opinion and team reports.

You might want to take a look at the Assistant GM section of the EHM guide. Here's a brief quote from it:
11.1 Important attributes
What attributes make a good assistant GM depend on what roles he shall be performing. As a general rule, a very wide range of attributes are required.

Team report
Judging player ability, judging player potential
In order to provide a reliable team report, he must be able to accurately judge players’ skills

Taking over the user’s role during vacation mode
Man management, tactical knowledge, discipline, judging player ability, judging player potential, motivating
Working with youngsters shall also be required if the team he’s working with is relatively young.
For more information, look at section 9.2.

Unless you consistently go on vacation (wich no one should ever do), Assistant GMs are just glorified scouts. I use them for team reports and trades/dafting, like you, so scouting attributes would be my answer.

If they actually un the team, I would say Man Management, adaptability and determination aswell. I think Motivating/Discipline/Working with Yougster more of a coach/asst. coach attribute, along with coaching positions, of course.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought this was an appropriate place to put this....

In the '04 version, the Assistant GM, in my opinion just takes up space. You can't ask their opinions during draft day, they don't scout, they don't really do anything except collect a pay check.

Does anyone really know the purpose of having the Assistant GM in the '04 version of the game?
