I was just curious if this kind of situation has happened to anyone.
I am playing a game in the United Hockey League with the Fort Wayne Komets and I made the playoffs as the top seed. However, once the playoffs started, I no longer had home ice advantage. The playoff brackets are as follows, with home ice teams in Bold:
Western Conference:
Fort Wayne Komets (#1 West) vs. Quad City Mallards (#4 West)
Rockford IceHogs (#2 West) vs. Bloomington PrairieThunder (#5 West)
Eastern Conference:
Elmira Jackals (#1 East) vs. Chicago Hounds (#3 West)
Muskegon Fury (#2 East) vs. Kalamazoo Wings (#3 East)
I'm not too concerned with the 5 teams in the West and 3 in the East making the playoffs. But, I am concerned with the Home Ice Advantage (if there is one in the game). I have played other minor leagues in the game, but have never had a playoff scenario like this. Anybody know what can be done, if anything?
