ECHL: Who to scout?

I've decided to take a break from the Thrashers and I've chosen to make a go at the ECHL. Aside from the other teams in the league (as well as my affliated squads (if any), what leagues do you recommend scouting for potential talent?

So far, I've begun scouting:

WHL
OHL
QMJHL
SPHL
NAHL
LNAH

Any others you could recommend?

While playing in the ECHL, I've found some good players in the college ranks. Try HE, ECAC, WCHA, CCHA and NCHA.

When playing the ECHL I ALWAYS sign Alan Sirois. And a Centre called Pronger who's had NHL experience usually on FA at the start of the game and signs for cheap.

Not played the ECHL using Lidas 1.1 but they are worth checking out.

Also a centre called Mike(?) Stathopoulus (or something like that)

Here is the list I go off of for my ECHL Franchises, keeping the emphasis on 19-20 year-olds who are gradutating from juniors or 23-24 year-olds graduating from Colleges.

You can scout Euro clubs, but I've never had much success in signing Euro players for ECHL money. They can typically make much more staying home.

I'm using the Lidas 1.1 rosters, which makes things a bit interesting, especially since Rockford and Lake Erie (AHL clubs in real life) are stacked with NHL fringe/AHL quality talent.

Thanks for the other tips. I have begun to scout each college league on top of the ones I already mentioned.

can ECHL teams sign College players too or no? Also what do u suggectgion having liek 15 scouts or osmething and start the game on August 2nd the earliest u can and start scouting for camp come 3rd week of September?

ECHL teams can sign anyone who will sign with them.

Try it and find out. Good players who can play NHL/AHL won't sgin, others might. Every player is different. So actually....just try something on yer own okay?

Be mindful though, if you sign a guy who does well enough for you to warrant a look by an AHL or NHL squad, he will be signed away from you, most likely at a truly inopportune time for your squad.

Theres like 15-18 leagues above to scout and like a month and two weeks to scout the leagues before training camp what would u suggestion go look threw the league at each player and then try like to scout each league within like 3-4 days per league?

I have a question about the salary cap in the ECHL. I am playing as the Utah Grizzlies with a cap of 315K, i am 8 games into the season(NOV 9th) and i am operating 77K over the cap. I was wondering how long i can keep playing over the salary cap before i have to reduce it or if i ever have to?

a gem player you should sign is Sean O'connor, hes born in victoria and played a bit for the salmon kings last year. His attributes are really good for echl level.

I was just wondering i know its a bit off topic and such but i know u cant offer try outs to college players and such but i mean besides college, cis, ohl, whl, qmjhl and echl anywhere else to scout for players for ur ahl team..

You might be able to find someone in the CHL and the UHL, but that's pretty much it.
