salary cap in canadian hockey leagues e.g., ohl, whl, qmjhl

Post by hotdawg123 »

is there any possible way to add a salary cap to any of these leagues?

because in reality each canadian hockey league team gets a certain # of cards/contracts per year to use so they can't sign all 50 of their reserve players. they can only sign up to 26 players for the year (regardless if they are traded) and adding a salary cap to these leagues could fix this.

It's not possible to add caps to leagues that didn't have caps to begin with.

Short answer: no.

You can, however, choose to only sign 26 players each season, adding an extra layer of challenge to the game.
