Organizational dissonance

Post by capschmap »

Hi everyone,

I hope I haven't created a duplicate thread. I've had this game for a few months and find it more addictive than cocaine!

I started out one game taking control of only the Leafs. Every 6 months as you know you get a prospects update. I've noticed I've often had conflicting comments from staff. The report will read "Player X could feature on the top two lines"

When I ask both my AHL and NHL coach for a view on Player X, they say that he's overrated, won't amount to much, etc etc. Has anyone else encountered this? Also, is there a way for me to take over the Marlies mid game even though at the start I didn't add any AHL leagues to my options? I'm a few years into this game and I'm worried my prospects won't amount to anything because Greg Gilbert sucks at coaching youth.

I also have a question about the fantasy draft, is it possible to modify the number of teams (so I could have an original 6 setup)?

Thanks

To answer the last first, it is impossible to alter the number of teams in any given league. Sizes and schedules are all hard-coded in the system. Attempt to change it, and your game will go all crashy-crashy.

You can always add a second GMto take control of your AHL affiliate as long as the league is active. However, you can not activate an inactive league once the game has begun.

As for your first question...take everything with a grain of salt. All of those reports are generated from different sources, and none are perfect. Trust your own judgment, and you should be OK.

Something i find usefull when my AHL/ECHL affiliates sucks is offer the player on loan to another club :)
That way i can make sure they're getting good coaches and get to play alot =)
