So i've tried out what you said but i didn't work better, i simply can't choose the Minstrel template ..

The interface is really f***ed up but i can change everything except the template.

I'm using Eastside Hockey manager V.2.1.2 With french language, does it matters ?

:-k Okay. First off, language should not factor into it, except that I can't tell you what the French equivalents of menus are ;)

First off, have you been able to get your game to display properly with the default skin? If the answer is no you actually have a game install problem and should re-install your game.

You say you can't select Metal, do you mean you have selected it and you can't get it to display, or that the game menus don't give you an option to change to it?

I'm assuming your problem is that you have selected the skin from the options menu but you don't have all the files in the correct places the game is looking for them. From your screenshots I saw no graphic game elements at all, just the portions of the game that are generated by the game itself, just text really. Basically all the games elements, buttons etc. will function but the buttons won't draw in. The interface would be quite odd at that point. I've had a game in that state once or twice in testing and it's hella confusing... It should restore however once you have your files properly located.

If you want to switch so you can see the game again I'll walk you through the words you'll have to select. They of course would be buttons with words on them but if the skin isn't loading the buttons aren't drawing. You pretend the buttons and menus are there and just go by the words...

There are two ways to access the options page that gives you the option to change skins. One would be before you load or start a game click on 'Game Setup' from the column of options on the opening page which starts 'Start New Game', 'Load Saved Game' etc. it is the seventh option in that list. Within a running game you click on "Options" (in your case it would be in French I guess, but it is the last menu on the options bar, all the way to the right side of the screen). Click on the word itself and you get a menu, from that menu you select 'Game Setup'.

Either take you to the same screen. The second potion of that screen, in the lower third or so says 'Display' on the left side, and the first line says 'Skins' on the left. In the middle of that line it lists what skin you have selected. Click on the name of the skin currently selected there and you get a dropdown menu of the skins currently residing in your games main folder -> data -> skins folder. Switch that back to 'Traditional' and click on 'Ok' which is in the lower right of your screen. That should reset you to the default skin.

Now, the Montreal CustomColors folders contain only replacements for a few files with the Minstrel Metal skin itself. That is why I said you need to download the default skin itself and install that first. Then you can overwrite the files in the defualt skin with the Montreal customized files to display those instead.

So, when you unzip the 'MinstrelMetal2005.zip' file you will find the folder first contains two items. 'howtoinstall.txt' and a folder named 'MinstrelMetal Files'. All of this install info is covered in that text file, but I'm restating it for you here. Inside of the 'MinstrelMetal Files' folder there are three items: 'Minstrel Metal.col', 'Minstrel Metal.skn' and a folder named 'minstrelmetal'. It is these three files that need to be in your game's 'skins' folder. From within your main EHM folder you open your 'data' folder and in that folder is the 'skins' folder. Copy these three files there. The 'minstrelmetal' folder are the 'pieces' of the skin, and the two text files tell the game what to display and where to find it (.skn) and what colors to display (.col).

When you unzip the 'MON.CustomColor.zip' file you will find a folder named 'MON.CustomColor'. Within that folder are two items 'howtoinstallcustomcolor.txt' which walks you through the follwing process and a folder named 'sidebar'. Within the 'sidebar' folder there are three files. You need to copy these three files into your 'minstrelmetal' folder we copied into the 'skins' folder. Inside that folder there are 21 subfolders. Open the one that says 'interface' and the three subfolders are 'footer', 'sidebar', and 'titlepanel'. Open the 'sidebar' folder and that is where you will copy the Custom files to replace the version currently in that folder. Other teams have replacements for the 'titlepanel' files as well but I designed the default skin with red accents so it already matches up with Montreal 8-)

If you had 'Minstrel Metal' selected in your game already you should now see the game elements of the Metal skin and your side panels will bear the Montreal team name and logo. If you changed it back to 'Traditional' as directed above then you need to repeat that process and this time from that menu select 'Minstrel Metal'.

That should cover you I hope.

Once you have all of your files properly located go through the steps I first layed out to switch skins and this time click on th
