Players gaining citizenship

Post by BladeRunner »

Hi!

I've been thinking... How many years must be a foreign player under contract, let say with austrian team, to gain austrian citizenship?

Does anyone have the information for any of the playable league?

I've never seen this happen... though it would be really nice if it would.

I know that players can get new citizenships in Football Manager, but I've never seen it in EHM.

It can happen. Only it's really difficult because the player needs to stay in the same team without breaking free agency even for 1 day and I think also not getting demoted/promoted. The value is editable via editor. I think for Austria it's 4-6 years, something like that.

When I was playing with VSV I managed to get two Russians to the Austrian national team.

Yes, you can edit the value in Pre-Game Editor. In Nations section, the box "No. years to gain nationality".

You need 10 years to become Slovenian in-game!
