Guide: Using multiple databases [EHM 2004 & 2005]

Switching between multiple databases [EHM 2004 & 2005]

This is useful if you wish to install the Unfake DB version 1 to start a game to compete in the TBL challenges and then switch back to your original database afterwards.

1) Firstly, you neet to backup your database folder (located at NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005\data\). Make a new folder in your data folder and give it a name that describes the database, e.g. 'Unmodified DB'.

2) Next, create another folder in your data folder and give it a name that describes the second database you wish to install, e.g. 'Unfake v1'. In this folder, create a folder called 'database'. Then extract the database update files from the ZIP file of your chosen database update to this 'database' folder.

3) To install one of these databases, copy the database folder from one of your created folders to NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005\data\, overwriting any files as required. For example, you would copy the database folder from your Unmodified DB folder to install the default database.

4) Start a new game to run the game with the installed database. Changing databases doesn't affect saved data.
