Goalie Conditioning
How do I get my goalies to come into camp in condition? It used to have my starter come in condition but now both goalies are not in condition by the time regular season starts.

Re: Goalie Conditioning
That's normal. You can always alternate them until they are both in game shape.

Re: Goalie Conditioning
I know that but my clear cut starter isn't in game shape. He always used to be in game shape. Why has it changed now? I'm not really a big fan of playing the backup often, I usually have one of those top caliber goalies such as Brodeur, Luongo, Lundqvist, etc.

I usually have goalies on intensive training all year. They often get tired during pre-camp. So I set them over to a light program until fit again. The same thing might happen during the season too.

Re: Goalie Conditioning
Is this before camp starts? Most of my players aren't in condition before camp, even my goalies. During the regular season I usually practice my goalies with all 6 areas intensive and I almost never (knock on wood) have any injuries. Are they practicing "enough" ??
If all of those are ok, then my next thought is how old are these guys? Also, screenshots could help.

Ha, we were basically typing the same thing at the same time!

I'll post a screenshot if it happens again this training camp, in the off-season atm.

I usually use 3 intensive and 3 medium.
The training part is really frustrating really. Because there are really no formula of how it works. What's the smartest? I'd figure that 6 intensive would give more tiredness and injuries, but it isn't?
Only thing I could think of now is a certain amount of ice-time + training = progress.

September 14th 2009 - Training Camp

October 3rd - Day before Game Vs Calgary Flames

I tried all 6 intensive on my backup, his conditioning dropped like a fly. 100% not in condition to 48% not in condition. I usually leave the goalie conditioning. Why is it that this one particular game file has my starter always out of shape?
Edit: I looked at Kipper, Luongo, Miller etc, all in game shape.

Well, that's kinda normal since he didn't play a single game in the summer. It takes a couple of games to "get back" into the season.

Re: Goalie Conditioning
"Game shape" isn't conditioning. You get a player in game shape through playing him in the preseason.
As far as I've been able to tell, the "game shape" thing has very little, if any, affect on performance anyway.
