hi, i am totally so new ehm player, and i got a question
(ive been looking for posts about my questions, but couldnt find. sorry)
i downloaded the 'manimal' roster patch, and i also downloaded a mega face pack,
but i dun know how to use it.
megapack is png file, and as i looked up that 'date/pictures/players' , they are ehg files.
do i have to just delete ehg files, then add png files in the pictures folder??
and also i started a new game with loading 'minimal roster'
then i see all the players are without their pictures.
so i dont know how to add new pictures and how to load them with playing new game.
plz help.
How do I install facepack pictures?

Re: How do I install facepack pictures?
Welcome to The Blue Line!
First off, please try and make your thread titles more descriptive. It helps keep the forum tidy and it helps other users if they have a similar difficulty as yours (because a descriptive thread title is more likely to appear under a relevant forum search).
EHG files are actually just PNG files. SI decided to change the file extension to signify that they were facepack images. The way EHM works is that there is a priority system for displaying images in game such as facepacks: EHG takes priority over PNG which in turn takes priority over JPG. This means that if there is both an EHG and a PNG face picture for a player, the game will always only show the EHG. Therefore, for the PNG to show up, you'll have to delete the EHG.
As you suggest, the best option is to delete the EHG files and replace them with your PNG files. The EHGs are roughly six years old and so it makes sense to delete them and replace with more recent packs.
In order for the images to appear correctly in game, the date of birth for each player in their respective face picture must match their date of birth in game. Prior to Manimal v4.0, the year of birth for each player was adjusted because we couldn't change the game's start date (i.e. to simulate the 2010/11 season using the game's hardcoded 2006/07 start date, we had to age each player by four years). However, since Manimal v4.0 we have been able to change the start date and therefore the players' dates of birth have been restored to their real life years. As a consequence, many older facepacks (i.e. those for seasons prior to 2011/12) will have adjusted years of birth to accommodate the previous Manimal databases.
Thus, for each facepack you download, I recommend extracted it into a temporary folder and checking one of the pictures's filename to ensure that the year of birth is correct. If the year of birth is correct, you can safely move the pictures to your data/pictures/players folder. If they're not correct, you'll need to use this tool before you move the pictures to data/pictures/players.
