Rehab

Post by flea »

I hope somebody can help me with this problem:

I have C Mike Fisher in my Bruins team, and I have to say that I like this player very much, but the thing is that he gets injuried very often, also he gets out of shape very soon and looses condition very fast.

My trainers are concerned because he had groin surgery in some point of his career and this injury comes back from time to time.

Well, I have read in the Siga forums that there is a way to put the player in rehabilitation, but I have no clue how I can do it?? Is it in the practice screen?? ...and if yes, where??

Does somebody know how to do it??

Iam in the postseason right now and it would be the right time to put him in rehab and I really dont want to loose a player of his caliber due to injuries...

Thanks in advance!!

If he has an injury (Red or Orange Inj status), you request a physio report. The option to send to rehab is then one of the options along with Place on Waivers, Player Status, Request Report etc.

It should be that you can only send for rehab when the player has a recurrence of the same injury, but IIRC you can send them when they have any injury.

If Fisher doesn't have an injury atm you cannot send him to rehab yet, but only when he next gets injured

Ok!!! Thanks very much for your help hluraven!!!

So I have to wait until he gets injured again. That was my mistake, I thought u can send him everytime to rehab, but now when I think about it, its more than clear that u only can send him to rehab when hes injured!! It makes sense like this!!

Unfortunately I think that I dont have to wait too much until he gets injuried again  but at least now I know that I can send him to a good rehab clinic, lol!!

Thanks again for your help!!

"What seems to be the problem?"

"Oh. I have a concussion."

"Alright, let's rehab that elbow of yours."

That would be odd to say the least :-D

I never knew of this option. Does sending someone to rehab remove the injurys that reoccur? I mean If I get a trainer reprot on someone after rehab does it come up clean?

That's the idea, I believe it's possible for rehab to fail, but I've never seen it happen.

It varies, its normally longer than the time out with the respective injury, something like 2 months out with one occurance of a repetetive shoulder injury = 3 months rehab to fix it, 5 months with series injury = 7 months rehab etc.

I have seen the rehab take less time than the original injury would have down to heal once though, which was great :-D

In general though this is why every time someone comes down with an injury you should get a trainer's report

I always get a trainers report but I only used the info they gave me to decide if I wanted to trade the player or not. ](*,)

I look at their history to determine to trade them. If they are constantly injured, they are not worth it. I had Benoit Pouliot tear his ACL, then MCL, then UCL in my Minnesota Wild game. I finally traded him after 3 years of injuries.

I have two players that were recently injured and trainer reports indicated that there were long term effects of the current injuries that were caused by a past injury however rehab was not showing up as one of the options as described. Any thoughts?

They have to have the same injury as what the trainers are worried about, then you can send them to rehab.

They don't have to be injured to do this. At least thats the case in all other manager-games by SI. No matter what their fitness is and if they are injured or not the physio will say "bla bla injury" if he has a "hidden" injury and you can send them away on rehab.

You can get a report on anyone at any time, just like with coaches' reports but to send players to rehab they do have to be currently injured with the "hidden" or recurring injury... otherwise you don't get the option made available to you.

Dang rehab option isn't showing up!

Mikko Koivu apparently has groin issues and he was injured in the playoffs when I found out, now I needed him so I didn't send him off and decided to wait until his next injury. Now he's been injured twice and each time I've asked for a trainer report (all 3 of them) and they all agree that he has groin probs, but the option to rehab is not showing up. Any ideas?

I've even tried placing him on IR since it was a minor injury, alas to no avail.

He has to have the recurring injury happen again and then you can send him to rehab.

Example #1: Koivu has a recurring groin injury and suffers a shoulder contusion in the game---- no rehab for the groin injury

Example #2: Koivu has a recurring groin injury and suffers a groin strain in the game---- rehab for the groin injury

;)

Thanks, I figured it was something like that, but hey, it's better to ask and know for sure.

Funny how you learn new things about a game. I have been playing this game since its release, and today I just found out about the rehab option from a trainer's report.

Soooo this might be the same problem that I have in EHM 2005 when two goalies (Toskala and Hurme) both have had condition 20% for at least 2 or 3 seasons :-k
