I guess you could use the transactions folder to 'trade' all the first round picks to your team.

Goto your install directory, then go to 'data' then 'database'. It should look somehting like this:
C:\Program Files\SEGA\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005\data\database

Open the file extra_config.cfg in notepad.

Then scroll down to 2006 NHL traded picks.

If you wanted to give the King's 1st round pick to Boston you would put in the following:

"DRAFT_PICK_SWITCH" "Los Angeles Kings" "Boston Bruins" 1 2006

This would give LA's first round pick in 2006 to Boston.

Ooooh, I see. Very good to know! Thank you so much E5150!

I presume if I want to make 2007 picks change than I should do this

"DRAFT_PICK_SWITCH" "Carolina Hurricanes" "Pittsburgh Penguins" 2 2007

under the 2007 NHL traded picks?

Because I did see a 07 pick involving Washington and Vancouver but was under the 2006 NHL traded picks, just checking.

You could probably put it in either section, I don't think it makes a difference.

All that matters is the year thats at the end.

One more thing, how do you move draft picks on a team that was previously owned by another team? Get what I'm saying?

Say, if I want to get Vancouver's 2 round pick (previously acquired from NYI), how do I do that?

thx

No matter who owns them they are still designated as that team's pick so I believe you'd in your example use Islanders as the the team trading the pick as that sends the Islanders 2nd rounder to the team you set up instead of to Vancouver.
