I did a forum search but couldn't find anything relating to my query.
I have had many many goalies, some with average skill and some with all 90+skill and it doesn't seem to matter because their save percentage will never rise above .900, mostly in the .880-890 range.
what am i doing wrong that makes my goalies, who when traded move on to .920+, so bad when they play for me?
I have a very defensive team strategy, and star defenders and forwards, but nothing ever seems to work.
thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Re: Low Save Percentage
It's probably better to build your tactics around the players you got. Playing defense in general is difficult in EHM. If you have offensive talented players, play offense because as long as they can keep the puck is in the offensive zone, you don't need to worry much about defense.Geld1941 wrote:..I have a very defensive team strategy, and star defenders and forwards.

I usually do not have a problem with keeping my goalies around a .900-.920 save percentage, but i usually concentrate on building a quality d corp. Except recently with that darn Irbe regen failure.... i couldnt get him to not let in 4-5 goals a game.
But on the other hand, i never have anyone in the top 25 in scoring, that most i can hope for is having someone get to the point per game mark.

My first line was something like Gionta - Gomez - Boyes or some one great playmaker with scoring skills in place of Boyes.
That was something special, never happened after that again...

Dude, it must be your tactics but who do you have playing as your top 6 D?
In my league - 2nd season as the Bruins - there are 27 goalies (games played from 12 to 56) with a save percentage over .900, including my Tim Thomas, who is at .909. Rask is at .870, and if he can improve just a little I can trade my $5M starter. Happily.

How much shot you receive per game? Sometimes, the goalie will perform well with 25 + shots per game. If he receive only 15-18 shot he can be less concentrate and make mistakes so it makes bad performances.
Check that, I always try to have my goalie saying that he likes the style of play of my team. I never got problems with is performances with that.
