20 wins in the las 24, the Devils are starting to make one of the most amazing comeback ever. Even Kovalchuk as regain is touch, I don't know if they change their tactics but things are going well.

Of course their tactical display has changed, they have new head coach after all. I am not devils fan but i root for them now. Overcoming 27 points deficit at half of season would be a miracle. Since 1993 biggest deficit that was erased in second half of season is 12 points! But it's still longshot for devils, they need probably something like 13-14 wins out of last 17 games.

I hope we'll have a great game between the Habs and the Bruins tonight. I don't want alot of fights like the other game but I certainly want to see a good physic game.

The Habs will dive any time they are touched tonight. They'll be looking for the penalty calls. I hope the Bruins play just physical enough to throw the Habs off their game but don't go overboard and get away from playing their own game.

Just tonight?
If they start doing this the game will quickly get out of control IMO. Brad Marchant already tried to do the big mouth this morning. Even if MTL don't got any big guys he should shut up and stick to the game for a rookie.

Philou...Marchand is by far the least of the two big yappers on the ice who are rookies in the game tonight. Maybe...just maybe you should tell PK to shut up.

Hahaha I'm not a MTL fan, I never say that I want PK to keep talking. Him and Marchant have a little history so we'll see.

I'm really liking Marchand! He's a small guy with a big mouth but he doesn't shy away from getting physical.

He got a great season so far with 19 goals I think? I've heard alot of him back in the LHJMQ and we was really a good physical player but I never thought he would make it in the NHL. He show me that I was wrong this season...

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Eastern Conference Regular Season Thr
Honestly, I didn't expect Marchand to be able to make the jump from the AHL to the NHL, or at least not in an offensive role. I figured he'd be a 3rd or 4th line energy player his career's high point. He did well in that role early in this season and his linemates (Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell) started putting up points too. Now that he's been matched up with Bergeron and Recchi, he really blossomed. Those guys have great chemistry!

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Eastern Conference Regular Season Thr
McDavid-ing PIECE OF rubbish THIS ZDENO CHARA. If Pacioretty is out for the season ( probably ) Chara should be out for the rest of the season too. When I look at the replay I don't know if Chara knew the end of the bench was coming but from a guy like Chara I wouldn't be surprise he really wanted to do that.
darn I hope is career isn't compromise.
He was doing so well and was imporving alot. What a no-brain piece of Adam Oates Chara is.
darn I hope is career isn't compromise.

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Eastern Conference Regular Season Thr
I have not really been a Bruins fan since the days of Orr and Esposito but I really don't think Chara meant for him to smoke the end of the glass partition. That being said it was a terrible place for any kind of hit to happen and the players now days seem to have very little respect for each other. They really do appear to try to put guys right through the boards as opposed to just knocking him off the puck. Not good IMO

The ironic thing is that all this safety equipment allows the players to get more and more careless.
As new equipment is developed, they think they're improving player safety. When in reality, they're giving players a reason to hit even harder than they did yesterday.

It was an ugly hit but I honestly don't think Chara was trying to injure the guy. He doesn't play that way. He plays tough and physical but not dirty.

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Eastern Conference Regular Season Thr
He wasn't trying to injured him? We all know here that when things don't go the way Chara want he's getting crazy and do stupid moves and that was one of them. This was disgusting, when I saw Pax on the ice without moving I thought the worst for him. That was extremely dangerous what Chara as done, to me it's as worse as the Bertuzzi case and Bergeron's one.
You can clearly see when we check the slow-motion that Chara got alot of time to do a clean hit on him but at the second we see the post of the window he lift him with is hands. Now he wants us to think he didn't knew he was that close of the post. This is a joke, every experienced player like him know where they are on the ice. Nobody can change my mind on that. He definitely need a big suspension, which will not happen, we all know that.
I'm really
. Those things should never happen. At least Pax seem to got only a concussion, that's great new for a big hit like that but we still don't know how Pacioretty will be after that. Too bad he was starting to blow and he was playing really well. He's too young for that!

I do hope Pacioretty is okay but I think your view of this is highly influenced due to the injury. Chara has never been a head hunter or dirty player. If he gets mad, he'll fight a guy. He doesn't intentionally try to injure a player.

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Eastern Conference Regular Season Thr
That's nonsense philou. Chara is the cleanest tough guy in the league, he could severely injure a player on every single shift if he wanted to, and he's being targeted by smaller players all the time because they know they can get away with murder on him. The amount of dirty little shots he has to take during a game without ever getting a call is insane. Announcers from other teams who don't get to watch him too often always compliment his incredible self-discipline not to snap due to all the little cheapshots he has to take during a game. He was finishing his check and that is all. There was nothing in his motion that was different from a dozen hits that happen every single game, except that Pacioretty was too quick for him, hence the interference call, and that's why he will be suspended, I expect 2-3 games. To compare this to what Bertuzzi did is crazy. This whole situation is similar to Seidenberg knocking out Bergeron 2 years ago, although different circumstances, but just a hockey play gone wrong, and nobody was throwing tantrums back then, eventhough Bergeron had just returned from the concussion he suffered after the Randy Jones hit.

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Eastern Conference Regular Season Thr
The Chara hit falls smack in between hits like Matt Cooke puts on and a clean hit. It is a shot that in no way should happen and Chara should have been one hell of alot more awake on that play. Puck is gone for some time, Chara has to hold up..especially considering he knows where he is on the ice. Hit should result in a suspension of some sort. Short of what guys like the idiot on Long Island get, but equal in length to what the idiot Cooke gets. I feel this because the idiot Cooke should get more than what he does for the stunts he pulls. Bad hit, bad result...3-4 games.

Don't get me wrong Danny and Bruins. I have never said that Chara was a dirty player all the time. Still, he pushed Pax's head when the post is coming, how weird is this?
No Danny, the hit isn't like the one on Moore. Beruzzi was kinda on a "mission" to destroy him but the consequences could be the same with the high impact Pax got, he could have broke is neck. I got a new update that Max got one broken vertebra, that's really bad for him.... I don't expect much than 2-3 games but still the NHL will prove to us that they're a bunch of noobs. Even if this wasn't on purpose they should at least give him a 10 games suspension for injury as an exemple.

The league has announced that there will be no fine or suspension for the hit.

I misunderstood the part about Bertuzzi then, I guess. I thought you were comparing their actions.philou21 wrote:Don't get me wrong Danny and Bruins. I have never said that Chara was a dirty player all the time. Still, he pushed Pax's head when the post is coming, how weird is this?

I think the concussion is the bigger issue than the broken vertebra, Eric Cole was back on the ice after 2-3 weeks, same with Savard when Steve Begin broke his. The concussion seems like a severe one, which is in Bergeron/Savard territory.
