Once I hit the "add new" button it doesn't give me the staff details button. It takes away player details/attributes, and player info buttons. I still get staff attributes, then likes/dislikes, and history.

You are correct, that is what I was forgetting to do. Thanks.
I have another question while I am at it. I have seen you can add teams to non playable leagues, but can complete non playable leagues be made too? I had/have this idea in my head to make a "minor league" using defunct teams like the Jets, Scouts, Quakers, Monarchs and such. So I was wondering if that was something that could be done or not?

Yes, you can. I have done it several times with the db. You can't make up rules other than the age limit and league reputation, though.Cornfed wrote: I have another question while I am at it. Nevermind I figured it out you have to trade the leagues out, you just cannot edit them playable like in FM. Oh well...I have no desire to do that much work I'll just use work the Russian league or something.Cornfed wrote:Ok next stupid question....is there a way to make the Italian leagues playable? Re: Official Pre Game Editor Thread. All questions here plea
Hi all- long-time reader and player, first time poster...
Love the game. Played way too much. Thinking of starting anew, but there's one area I'd like to somehow change. Hoping it's possible, and hoping someone could tell me how to go about doing it. I'm running 3.0.4 and the newest lidas db.
About 25 years into my current league (NHL), I drafted an Estonian, Armenian , and Mongolian player. They were the first players I had seen in my game from their respective countries. And I liked the fact that they broke up the monotony of the players/countries represented in the game. Then I got to thinking- I've never seeen a Lithuanian. Or a Ukrainian. I'd like some more diversity.
So I guess my question is this: is there a way to alter the way players are regenerated to represent a more broad array of nationalities? Thank you in advance for your time.

Since Lidas version 2.X we are doing just that. We have listed a player from several minor countries to retire at the first day in game. That makes them re-generatedrobitaille wrote:Hi all- long-time reader and player, first time poster...

So if I want more of the same, I just need to change the nationalities of some of the thousands of useless, fringe American players to a handful of different nations, edit their attributes a bit, and then set them in the extra config file to retire?
I read a while back in this thread that if a player's def role is, say, 17, their def attributes will all be around 17-ish, and the same goes for off attributes and the range of numbers from 0-20. Is that true?

No, it is more complex than that. Off/def role is only in regard to how interested a player is in playing offensively or defensively not how good they do itrobitaille wrote: I read a while back in this thread that if a player's def role is, say, 17, their def attributes will all be around 17-ish, and the same goes for off attributes and the range of numbers from 0-20. How to mark injury in extra_config -file, when player is free agent? Shall I mark it "INJURY" "Donald Duck" "UFA"... or how?

No, where you usually put the team name just put nothing. Look at the retired guys, all have """" That means no teamJypfan92 wrote:How to mark injury in extra_config -file, when player is free agent? Shall I mark it "INJURY" "Donald Duck" "UFA"... or how?

Re: Official Pre Game Editor Thread. All questions here plea
Hello!
I'm having trouble with using the Pre-Game editor (as well as the saved game, but that's not the point). Everytime i change something in the P-G Editor, I - of course - press confirm and then save. The problem is, that the changes I've made (in "Club Cash" and "Player Budget") doesn't show in the game itself. After I've saved the changes in the editor i open the game, and start a new game, but nothing is changed. My teams is still quite poor. I have unsuccesfully tried to find an anwser for some time, and i now turn to the brilliant minds of TBL.
I use Win 7 64-bit, my game is updated to 3.0.4, and the pre-game editor I'm using is the 1.7.
Hope You'll help me, either with a link or with some advice.

How do you get rid of No Trade clauses in the pregame editor? I thought there would be an easy check box for it.

Not sure is this been here already. Sorry if it is. Trying to edit Lidas 3.0 with newest pre game editor, but it's keeps telling me this. Lidas rosters have those birthdays displaying differently so What the Dickens. Do I have to edit those also to been able confirm changes?

When I open the editor, that player's birthday display like this...
4/3/1985
I'm guessing you're not typing the date in the proper format.

Quick question. I was looking through the Clubs log and saw that the Iowa Chops were still there, but their divisions were all blanked out. I was wondering, if I filled in the respective divisions, would the Chops show back up in the AHL, or would it just mess up the game?

The game is made to have a specific number of team in a league. so you will need to pull out another team to make it work. You need to have the same team per divisions, conferences etc....
