I wouldn't say offensive D doesn't work. Timmi (Hartford LD) is averaging a goal and an assist every game - he plays aggressive. There's only two defencemen who haven't scored a point - they're both Quebec players. This is because they have very low offensive stats. You've got five points in the three games we've played so far - pretty good for a defenceman.
It really depends on the skills of your team mates. If your fellow D-man has strong defensive stats then he will be able to cover you while you go further up ice and create chances. Also, there's no point in playing aggressively unless you are good at passing and/or shooting.

darn it! We were a bit unlucky to lose against the Whalers. ](./images/smilies/wallbash.gif) I think we need to use this opportunity to tweak some of our attributes to give us more power in offence. At least our solid defence saw Batdad drop from first place in the table of highest points scorers

Chicago's tie means that they jump ahead of the Habs, who were comprehensively beaten by Minnesota.
Winnepeg's Gibson41 had a fantastic game this week, scoring three goals and making one assist.
Next week is the halfway point in the season. It's still very close but if Hartford beat bottom-placed Chicago then they'll start sneaking ahead of the pack. Come on, Ryujin - you've gotta pull out all the stops this week!

I went with a fairly balanced approach when I created mine too. I think because our defencemen are defensively-minded that it's affecting the number of goals we score. On the other hand, it lets the three forwards concentrate on offence. I'll be sure to tweak the forwards in favour of more offence.bruins72 wrote:Archi, if you want to tweak me a little more towards offense, go right ahead.
