Same thing can be said of Red Berenson at Michigan. He even won the Jack Adams in 1981 coaching the Blues. Many teams have tried to get him to return to the pro ranks, but Mr. Berenson is content where he is.

Not everyone associated with hockey has the desire to play/work in the NHL. Not everyone is of a global mind (the majority probably aren't). Most Americans wouldn't consider working & living outside the US, no matter how much money was at stake. From personal experience, that is the status quo world wide. While I will agree that there are some strange decisions made by players and staff, EHM is a
game. At least at this stage, consumer level technology does not exist for simulation of the human condition. Compared to other sports simulation games, EHM doesn't do a bad job. It's just one of those things that need to be accepted to enjoy playing EHM.
